Last couple of weeks have been fantastic for astronomy (and physics). There has been the announcement of the detection of a planet orbiting a binary star system. This opens up the possibility of a far larger number of planets in our galaxy, as more than half are binary stars. Then, of course, we had neutrinos doing something they are not supposed to do, followed by the announcement of the physics Nobel prize about our accelerating universe. And I haven't even mentioned the detection of a diamond planet! It is orbiting a neutron star that is spinning 175 per second!!
Ok - so you can check some of my conversation about neutrinos and the Tatooine planet with Monte on WRSI and on the monthly segment on the Bill Newman show on WHMP, Musings on Our Insanely Huge Universe (last 15 minutes of the podcast).
